Do you need tire chains? - do you need chains to go to big bear
Now my family and I have decided to go Big Bear Lake, is on Saturday morning 20th December, and we ask whether the need tire chains to climb mountains. The way is now we have to go to Highway 330/18 (Running Springs) Has anyone at this time if the channels are ve required.BTW summer in Big Bear and do not require chains, but in the past year. Thank you! :)

If you need the CHP issued .... have no choice. One could also say that snow tires are needed, and you will pass without chains.
